Soil Sampling
Better recommendations start with a good sample.
GPS-guided soil sampling built around your fields, cropping plans, sampling history, and agronomic needs.
Contact WesWoltz Ag provides independent soil sampling for growers throughout Hardin County and surrounding counties.
In the Field
Consistent sampling from point to lab.
Before sampling begins, field boundaries, cropping plans, soil sampling history, and previous sampling locations are reviewed. Sampling points are prepared in precision-ag software and transferred to an iPad for field navigation.
In the field, an external GPS guides the ATV to the planned sampling points. An ATV-mounted hydraulic probe provides consistent collection at a 6-inch sampling depth.
Individual samples are labeled, boxed, and shipped to A&L Great Lakes Laboratories in Fort Wayne, Indiana for analysis. Laboratory results are returned electronically and incorporated into the farm's field data.
